temp directory not actually reset by rasterOptions()

Agustin Lobo
I have problems with an small /tmp partition
and thought using
rasterOptions(tmpdir="/home/alobo/provi")

Nevertheless, this has no effect, and temp raster files keep growing
in the default directory within /tmp

Is this a bug?

Thanks
Agus

FYI It's also important to set the max size for raster,  default is way too
low:

Re: temp directory not actually reset by rasterOptions()

Agustin Lobo
Thanks. Yes, I also had found using Simon Urbanek’s unixtools to be an
alternative solution.
But this does not address the core of my question:
raster::rasterOptions(tmpdir="/home/alobo/provi")
does not work.
